Oh my gosh what a dream. Kraken is such a gem to have amazing gluten free options that are celiac safe. SEPARATE FRYER! Ate here twice during a trip to Hobart. And the food is delicious. GF popcorn chicken, GF chicken tenders and chips. All in a separate safe fryer. The Korean chili sauce was a highlight too. My gluten loving husband loved the Korean fried chicken burger. Amazing friendly guys that work there, cooking up fresh delicious food!
They may overlook the importance of the location and interior, but the food is the real reason we came, and it certainly did not disappoint. After trying a different take on fish and chips and a few burgers, we can honestly say the dishes were well-made, fresh, and featured a large, crunchy batter. Everything was reasonably priced and offered great value.
I had the Barramundi coated in panko, and it was a huge portion—crispy and delicious! The golden chips were fantastic, and the fresh lemon added a nice touch. The homemade sweet potato cakes were incredible as well! Everything was just perfect. I'm looking forward to trying their deep-fried chocolate bars next!
They have mastered the art of fried chips. I enjoyed every bite until the very last one, which is unusual for me when I order large fries. This might be because their chips are not greasy. I’ll definitely explore other items on the menu during my next visit. Reserva una mesa ahora
The gluten-free popcorn chicken is incredibly delicious! We visited the restaurant specifically for the chicken, and the staff are really friendly. We went there frequently during our stay in Hobart. A big thank you for their generous hospitality!
Ignore the location/interior, the food is why we went and this certainly didn't disappoint. Various version of fish'n'chips and a few burgers later and we honestly say, well done Fresh, great crisp batter, not too only. Very good price/value.
Gluten free popcorn chickens are soooo good. We went there for chickens haha And the guy who is working at the shop is super kind and we went there so many times while we are in Hobart. Thank you so much for your generosity
The Kraken basket offers incredible value. The quality is excellent, and you can choose your sauce. It was so delicious that I couldn't finish it all. This place is truly a hidden gem for fantastic fish and chips. Reserva una mesa ahora
The chips were horrible! And for $6 you would think we would get a decent amount for a family but no it was a handful and they were horrible
