Unfortunately, I cannot share the euphoria of other guests. we would have expected more here after viewing the homepage. we visited this locally a few years ago and were very satisfied at that time. but now let service and especially the kitchen wish open. the waiting period for the food was relatiw long. well, we were to several people and have eaten á la carte, therefore apologisable, but all the foods awakened the impression as if they were warmed up or at least kept warm under the salamander too long. the kitchen advertises with some extravagants, which however could not convince in their presentation. also the salate: huge leaves in a small bowl, with a few components that did not harmo...
my wife and I have been targeted for a dinner together, by several recommended, to the restaurant "krayers mühle".The chef himself works in the service and is always trying to make the guests smile on the face. some of the wee are from the neighboring weingut and are typical of the rheingau and thus exactly right for a local in the vineyards. Eating itself has surprised us to be positive and the chef of cuisine showed us his existing know-how and experience through ideally tasted dishes and creativity. we personally cannot understand some comments here and give a clear recommendation for the restaurant out.Who is looking for a grounded restaurant, with good wine and a creative tasty kitchen...
here there are not only dishes such as carvings etc. with a large selection but also a daily menu with dressings that you find otherwise rare. we ate, for example, we had a very good and plentiful. the service was fast and very friendly, the wines, from own wine making, excellent.In summer, you sit, with good weather, outside with beautiful view, in the middle of the wine mountains.
thanks to the slemmerpass - which once animates to try new localities - we arrived at the restaurant krayers mühle on the last Saturday. we were 4 people and had 4 different foods that were all very good.Also I haven't eaten so good noodles for a long time, the vacancy is very nice, so what do you want more? we are 4 people of opinion: here everything is right, go and try!

since March this year the "krayer’s mühle" has a new pächter. the concept has not taken over the new one from its predecessor. Instead, in addition to classics, extraordinary dishes come on the map. "strammer lachs" for example. the ambiente is in order. more beautiful it is natural if the weather allows the use of the terrace.Trotzdem a visit worth!

beautiful ambiente, with beautiful weather on the terrace with view of the castle johannisberg. the menu is small but sufficient. there are also foods that you will not find: very good and suitable wine.
the offer is - as has already been described by others - sufficient but very good.As a car driver, I can't say anything about the weine. my wife, they tasted. the present waiter was an ohrenschmaus.
