Personal, pleasant atmosphere at very fair prices. home-style restaurant, We found it quite comfortable at affordable prices. The staff is always friendly and attentive. In the summer you can certainly sit well outside, in the outdoor area.Swabian dishes, steaks and salads are really good here! Properly grown portions. Highly recommended for a good hunger. Nice and fast service. The guest room, as well as the toilets made a clean impression.Unfortunately no credit cards, only cash. Still highly recommended
The food here is ok, doesn´t change that much, however, during the year. The sauces here are very tasty. Service can be slow, especially if you are sitting outside, although the personnel are generally nice and polite people. My one major criticism is the price of wine. For a bottle of red, it is well over 12 euros (which normally is cheap for a restaurant), however a day after eating here, I was in Edeke and noticed the same bottle of wine for a mere 1,80euros. I understand that restaurants have to make up their profit on wine, but this is just a little bit too cheeky for my liking.
A little bit by chance, little bit by the reviews we went to this great restaurant.The food was marvelous:- we had Maultaschensuppe (soup with homemade ravioli), Wurstsalad (salad with vinegar, cheese and meet), spätzle (small past) and leberkäse (german meatloaf)It was fresh, well seasoned and very tasty.The service was extremely friendly and welcoming. They even prepared us a Kartoffelsalat which was not in the menu.
Only five minutes walking distance from the church or town hall and 10 from the castle this quaint old restaurant is serving really good regional specialities like Maultaschen, Nieren (kidney), Kutteln (tripe), Schnitzel etc. When busy expect long wait. The outdoor terrasse across the narrow and cobbled street is on a canal and picturesque. Relatively good value,

Best Swabian happening in town. Non-pretentious food in a good volume, so come hungry. Added bonus is that this place plays no music - just locals with thick accent and foreign tourists mingling - how great is that. Fantastic down-to-earth service. Spätzle was too salty for us but the rest tasted great. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating.
Lovely place, great service, large portions, rational prices. I visited times during my stay in Tubingen. There are available tables outside, with umbrellas for the sun. Really nice! Sometimes it is hard to find a table but it worths waiting a bit. My...favorite dish was Jägerschnitzel with Spätzle.
We went in by chance (6 adults and 4 children). We could not have been made more welcome. A place was found for us, drinks and food was good, served promptly with preference given to hungry children, portions excellent, price reasonable and service friendly. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
I recommend to visit during summer - as you can sit there in a nice ourdoor enviroment close to a small river - eat something non pretentious in generous portions for a fair priceand watch people passing by.

Joined a group of 4 others from meeting here, I arrived rather late when they were finishing so rushed my order & eating. Nothing special but nothing wrong with it either
The best beef brisket in Germany! Good customer service. Only drawback was the crowded seating during the winter.
