We've visited this restaurant several times, but not since the pandemic, so it was great to see them thriving. Today we decided to try some different dishes. We started with the fried fish cakes as an appetizer, which were delicious with a great texture and came with a tasty peanut sauce. For my main course, I ordered the Tom Yum soup noodles with squid, and I was impressed by the generous portions of squid. This restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Somerville. It stands out as one of the top Thai dining spots (if you know, you know) in the area. I often find it difficult to choose between Thai Kitchen and Kuay Tiew, but I tend to lean a bit more towards Thai Kitchen because the staff is friendlier, the portion sizes are slightly larger, and their drunken noodles with chicken and shrimp are a better value! However, if I'm in the mood for really spicy noodles, Kuay Tiew knows how to deliver that heat, which I appreciate. Overall, if you're in the Main Street area and craving some delicious noodles, I highly recommend Kuay Tiew (just avoid Origin for Thai food, lol).
Quaint Thai restaurant located on main strip of Somerville. Street metered parking or municipal parking lot behind the restaurant is available for nominal fee. You walk right by the busy kitchen area as you enter the restaurant. It was dinner time when we went, it was kind of dark inside but the decor is nice inviting. Friendly attentive staff. We ordered papaya salad pork buns for appetizer, both were very good. Hubby ordered Pad Se Wee, liked the flavor but wished there were more veggies. I ordered a seafood salad from the dinner special menu (can't recall the name) also wished they would have put more veggies in it, otherwise it was delicious.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant for lunch. The food was exceptional, easily earning a perfect score. Each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. We order from this restaurant often and truly enjoy it. Although it's a bit on the expensive side for Thai cuisine, it's always worth the price. I can never say no to the pad see ew; the noodles are just perfect, especially when you eat in. Some of our other favorites include pad thai, khao pad, penang curry, por pia, and we always indulge in the sticky rice and mango for dessert. Plus, it's BYOB!

The food and staff are amazing!!! The Pad Thai and their soups are incredible! You seriously cannot go wrong here.
