In short: homely, rustic, traditional and yet with a remarkably refreshing Western twist to a seemingly predictable genre of culinary arts. A great sense of organisation and subsequently carefully considered match of color and taste are leading denominators in providing your taste buds with the surprise it might initially not have been looking for, but ends up longing for more with every other bite. More to the point: without offending authentic Indian cuisine, an alarmingly welcome Western element is introduced in the shape of a near steakhouse oriented presentation. The owner clearly knows both sides of the spectrum by deliberately opting for a fine mixture of traditional and contemporary culinary influences. This isn't just appealing and refreshing to the weathered Indian food enthusiastic, but also a great introduction for an audience unfamiliar with a sometimes daunting new experience in flavours. To those who see the Indian cuisine as a hot mess in that it is overly spicy and just a large array of appetizers, the owner is the perfect guide to help you explore new depths in a cuisine which holds no bars in terms of introducing explosive flavours not found in (m any western cuisines. Please inquire when leaving the place after the homemade mango smoothie as that will really solidify the amazing combination of flavours you have just left this fine establishment in. (If I'm ever longing for Indian food, I make the 3,5 hour drive to this place...that should be an indication of the quality.
