Personally, my culinary experiences are based on two main factors: food quality and service. To be fair, at least Kusina provided decent food. However, the restaurant's cleanliness and overall ambiance were lacking, which will prevent me from returning. Sitting next to a dirty table that seemed to blend into our surroundings made our dining experience uncomfortable. The constant sight of dirty dishes next to ours was off-putting. The broken mirror/glass wall and greasy odor in the restaurant only added to the feeling that it was not clean. Overall, the experience was not up to par.
For me, any dining experience comprises of parts, food quality and service. To be fair, At least, Kusina delivered home-cooked-quality food. But the restaurant cleanliness and overall ambiance was something that will not make me come back. Sitting right next to a dirty table,...which is practically attached to where we were, was dismal. Our family dining experience was uncomfortable the whole time having to see dirty plates next to our plates. The mirror/ glass wall was smudged, the greasy smell inside restaurant, gave an overall impression/feel that it wasn't clean.
Although this restaurant is located quite far from our home, the journey was definitely worth it! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The dining area is on the smaller side, but cozy. We tried their dishes and were very satisfied with the flavors. We even decided to order more for a party, and the food arrived promptly and still warm. Our guests also enjoyed their meals.
We decided to visit this restaurant because we enjoy trying new foods. It was our first time trying Filipino cuisine, and it was unlike anything we had tasted before. We loved the variety of dishes and the generous, flavorful portions. We will definitely be returning in the future!
