Japanese restaurants in Paris seem to have very similar menus, and that is not a good thing - this is not a traditional Japanese restaurant, but a French sushi place. However, what Kyo does, it does well. The fish is very fresh, and cut to perfection. The place is bustling lunch time, and still you get quality food. We really enjoyed our lunch, and you can order á la carte even at lunch. The interior is nice, and service friendly - do expect to wait a while during busy times, sushi is not fast-food. A good place for a tasty lunch. For dinner, I would perhaps try to find a more traditional Japanese restaurant.
a year ago we visited the Japanese restaurant kyo twice and were thrilled. this year we were once again in the cryo. alone, because the local is very beautiful. so are the courts. fish, japanese, raw or otherwise prepared. as fresh as if he had just been taken from the sea. also the service is perfect. friendly, polite, kind and competent. we are looking forward to entering the kyo again!PS: very good price-performance ratio!
