Kyoto Sushi - Reservar una mesa

Almost every time I am in Georgetown I try to make it over to Kyoto Sushi as they have some really great food here. I was back here with family the other evening and we had another great meal. We ordered a variety of hot items like beef short ribs, chicken wings, squid tentacles, shrimp, chicken and beef skewers and a variety of rolls. The only minor issue with Kyoto Sushi is that their order sheet has really small type and there is no place where you can look up what the rolls have in them, so if you order a roll with a name like "hockey roll", which by the way is very good, you have no idea what you are going to get. Not good is you have food allergies. A nice picture menu with descriptions would be very helpful. That and free refills on soft drinks as opposed to pop in cans. Beyond that this a great place for a sushi dinner and I will be back next time I am Georgetown. I recommend anyone reading this try them out.

We have dined at Kyoto in the past and thought we would try again. Sushi was more rice than ingredients. The Black Dragon roll was mostly rice with some avocado but the main ingredient (eel) that is supposed to be on the outside of the roll was almost not present. In fact, all of the rolls we ordered were similar in that the main ingredients were missing and lackng in flavour. Even the Tuna sashimi we ordered was tasteless white rubber. The service was not good either. Food we didn't order arrived at our table and we were missing items we did order. Also, we asked for a large sake and they delivered it with one cup (2 of us at the table). We asked 2 of the servers passing by to bring another cup but that didn't happen until the 3rd request. Overall this was a really disappointing meal and I would not recommend going here. Next time we will go back to our regular Sushi spot Yoyo's Sushi, nearby in Georgetown.

My boyfriend and I come here often, sometimes once a week! I've been coming here for years and love the food, it's consistent and tastes great. It's the cheapest all-you-can-eat sushi I've been too specifically lunch, dinner price is average. I'm not an adventurous sushi eater lol so I personally wouldn't know about some items on the menu. The soup, is disgusting. It tastes like hot water with cabbage in it. ZERO flavor. That's the one disappointment I have with the food. The service however, is HORRIBLE. The servers don't speak a word of english expect for "okay" and they are rude at that. My boyfriend can't use chopsticks and when he asked for a fork it's like it's too hard of a job. Overall great food but the service needs major improvement.

We have been to Kyoto's a number of times previously. We've found the food consistently good but have always had issues with service getting very slow prior to leaving the restaurant. I went last Thursday night with my two teen daughters. It was not a busy night. We waited over 15 minutes and finally just brought our order on a sheet of paper to the cashier. Eventually, the waitress came and asked us if we wanted something to drink. We were brought 4 or 5 dishes that we didn't order but the food we did order was delicious, as always. We waited another 15 minutes before we were able to order dessert. We have consistently had issues but this was our worst visit yet and we will be making the trip to Milton or Mississauga for Sushi in the future.

We are regulars at Kyoto (at least once a month), sometimes dinning in and other times ordering take out. The food is always very fresh, and portion sizes are decent. The "all you can eat" is great as there is a vast selection however DO NOT order more than you can eat as they charge extra for uneaten portions. The short ribs are delicious as is the eggplant teriyaki. We have never had a bad meal, but I do think the prices are steep. The customer service lacks a little but all in all a great place to eat.
