I haven’t had sinigang in astonishingly about 10 years. This place did my memory justice, and then some! Sinigang is my favorite Filipino food, aside from lumpia with dipping sauce of course, and this place pleasantly surprised me. I am not local, but had a yearning to get some Filipino food on a whim. This place satiated my appetite, with left over rice of course. Staple, staple. My local Filipino go-to restaurant closed. It’s funny that this restaurant has a very similar ambiance to it, I suppose Filipino culture really shows through decor/service traditions. No doubt this place is family owned, as most of the Filipino shops are I assume. Good people, good atmosphere and most of all GREAT...
Manila Wok offers genuine Filipino fast food (turo-turo) at affordable prices. They are currently operating during COVID, but only for takeout. You can choose from combinations of 1, 2, or 3 items. As of this review, a 2-item combo costs $8.50. They also have beginner options available for individual orders or larger groups. Some of my favorite dishes include BBQ skewers, adobo pork, lechon kawali, lumpiang shanghai, and turon. My rating takes into account the taste and value within the fast food category.
I give this place 4 stars because nothing can compare to my family's cooking. It really makes me feel like I'm back home in the Philippines. The service is fine; you just need to be a bit patient since it's run by older folks. I'm proud of their business and hope they continue to thrive and grow. The food is good, reasonably priced, and it’s a great option if you’re looking for decent Filipino food in the area.
AUTHENTICITY FOOD TASTE FOOD QUANTITY FOOD VERITY SERVICE This is truly a mom pop turo turo restaurant. An elderly couple owns and operates it. The food is very authentic. FOUND THIS PLACE PURELY BY ACCIDENT, PASSING BY ON HAWTHORNE BLVD. LOTS OF FISH DISHES ON FRIDAYS TO SUPPORT THOSE OBSERVING LENTEN ABSTINENCE

came home from the state. The owner is very nice and friendly. Prices great, eating fantastic house made and proportions are spectacular. Definitely my new favorite place every time I come home. Thank you. Manila Wok for the great visit, delicious food and fun conversations every time we have come.
