We enjoyed the hosptality of l 'Arlequin whilst they had the franchise at Lac Videux nearby during the summer. They were very welcoming and having laughed about Six o 'clock being Gin O 'clock for me when they ran out of gin, they went out bought another bottle for the next night ... customer service par excellence in my view!! The food was good wholesome fare, offering a choice to suit most tastes offered at very reasonable prices. During our visits, we enjoyed very good entrecote for €15, a baked camembert and cold platter (huge portion, would be a great shared starter) for €14, very good pizzas and good old fish and chips. No frills, but tasty and no complaints from our fussy 11 year old....
Visiting this area in winter, we drove miles to find anywhere to eat one evening and ended up here, having a pizza. The pizza was fine, the service indifferent, bordering on rude. No Bon appétit , No How was it? . The place is basically a take-away with a few tables laid out so it looks like a normal sit-down restaurant. However, there 's no wine list, just a house wine (Merlot unfortunately), no starters and no desserts. We felt the waitress resented our needing a place to actually sit down to eat, as we were not locals taking our meal home. Cheap and cheerless.
At the height of despair at not finding anything for lunch... We pushed the door open at 1:15 p.m. asking if we could still be served... A more than cold welcome... It's off to a good start as they say. But after! A lady serving (the boss? who changed her mood to become a tease, very tasty homemade dishes and a more than reasonable bill! I recommend we had a good time in the end. Food: 5
Si vous êtes amateur de véritables pizzas (pâte à pain maisons goûteuses, garnies et savoureuses...Téléphonez à Marie Jo et Marcello s'emploiera à vous les préparer à l'heure et toutes prêtes à être dégustées séance tenante... À ne manquer sous aucun prétexte !!! Délaissez les pizzas des kiosques et pizzaiolos robotisés . Bon appétit ....

Nous sommes arrivés par hasard, lors du tournoi de foot organisé à Oradour. Nous avons été très bien reçus, apéritif pris et les pizzas étaient très bonnes. Un accueil et du temps à échanger avec la gérante ! Un merci à vous et au plaisir de revenir.
We called in on spec for lunch on a very quiet day in town. They offered a la carte and fixed price menu, we went for the plat de jour, which was great value and very tasty indeed. A real French bistro and pizzeria, well worth a visit.
