Yum! Finally AUTHENTIC BIRRIA Jalisquense! Many people do not know that, but the Birrie comes from Jalisco, where my family is from La Barca to be exact (like the owners of this restaurant. And considering how popular it is in L.A., sad it is hard to find good and authentic Birria, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this Jem by chance!... or fate? Lol idk but this place serves a pretty good birria taco (soft tortilla . The salsas that accompany the birrie are almost as good as my grandmothers (a hard to reach as my grandmother comes from a long series of chefs / chefs). By the time my cilantro came my food was cold. Coffee cup is always empty and servers avoid eye contact, so food got cold waiting for tortillas. Can't blame no one but my self it's not the first time bad service happens. Now why are beans red and watery and birria meat hard and dry? The Truck on Broadway and Washington has better birria, this place is just nostalgia

This was my first visit, and I really enjoyed the food—it was quite good. The service was decent, though at times a bit busy. The portion sizes are generous, making it a great value. They offer a wide-ranging menu, and while the restaurant is clean, it has a simple ambiance. Overall, the prices are reasonable.

I loved it!! The service a little slow but, did not inhibit the experience and great food. I had the chivi Birria and hand made tortillas... Delicious and did not disappoint...I highly recommend it!

The service was slow and disorganized. The waitstaff were seen speaking and laughing at the customers who were seated next to us after they left. The food was bland and somewhat cold.

The Birria is incredible and the staff is very friendly. Good prices and plenty of space to park and dine.

Breakfast never disappoints! If you like spicy food, ask for the Chilaquiles extra sharp. Yum!
