La Barraca

We were lucky enough to stop for lunch here after visiting the museo al campesino, and had the menu del dia. The tortilla , seafood spaghetti, sole and huevos rotos fried eggs with chorizo, peppers Serrano ham and chips) were so delicious and plentiful. Javi speaks perfect, fluent English and helped us with the menu. He is such a helpful and friendly man. The bill was under 25 euros including a beer and a few glasses of wine. This is a gem. We sat outside in the sun but there is also a large welcoming spotless interior. Go!

La Barraca is a restaurant located in San Bartolomé, a town in the center of Lanzarote. it is a local restaurant, where there is a authentic atmosphere and you can eat some local dishes like papas arrugás (potatoes Canarian style with mojo picón, a traditional sauce) and cheese (a local dish). Also I drank three glasses of local white wine, which were very good. Also, waiters were very friendly. Very good first dinner in the island.

RECOMENDABLE: comida casera y platos del día. Pedimos varias cosas y el chico nos dijo que era mucho…. que los platos eran abundantes: Eso no es muy normal que te lo digan ….y lo agradecimos de verdad!!!Y tenía razón !!!! Atún exquisito y un trato muy amable. Repetiremos cuando volvamos. Relación calidad/precio muy buena

Very simple and typical spanish restaurant. The food is very good and the quality/price ratio is the best that we found in Lanzarote. The waiter is very nice and ready to give recommendations. It is the only place where we went more than once during our holiday! Highly recommended!

Buenísimo todo, trato excelente, muy limpio y relación calidad precio inmejorable. Mojo picón, lapas y cazuela de pulpo excelentes
