La Bastide du Bois Breant

We made a last minute dinner reservation here on a Monday as it was in walking distance to our gîte. Sat in a lovely courtyard and enjoyed friendly, if leisurely/sporadic service. The young waitress had to crunch across a lot of gravel to reach each table from the kitchen. Not exactly a buzzy atmosphere but then it was Monday. The food was OK, but not particularly memorable and the laminated, short menus looked a bit amateur. It feels like a place on the way down, not the way up, which if true, is a shame as the building and location has charm. Needs a revamp.

Following a couple of meals last year, we booked again (for 9 adults) received a very pleasant response saying that they remembered our visit and looked forward to welcoming us. Sadly our arrival on the Sunday evening was completely unexpected and rather strange. Welcomed like old friends, all hands shaken etc and then a blank look. Sandrine had forgotten to complete both our bookings and we were shown the door. No effort to accomodate us or to find an alternative, needless to say we won't be going back.

we spent 4 nights at the bastide of the woods, the hotel is nestled in a park, the reception is friendly and without chichi, the rooms are air conditioned and spacious, the charm operates and we feel good, in a calm.Two small details that can be improved:- the internet access did not function properly (it is a free system managed by a platform We recommend the place and if we come back to visit the area, we will go back to the hotel of woody.

From Bonjour till the end the restaurant was fabulous. Being from Alabama and speaking very little French I thought was going to be difficult IT WAS NOT. The owners daughter spoke fluent English and made their home feel like our home. Food was amazing and made way for us that didn’t eat fish they made us something similar to pot roast and carrots. If you are in the area you must go to this place you will not leave hungry! Reserva una mesa ahora

Me and my husband came across the restaurant on a walk around the area and sat down because the place was so beautiful. Little did we know we were about to have the meal of our lives! The chef, Yannick, uses local produce combined with talent one rarely comes across, especially by accident! Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic meal in lovely surroundings!

We stayed three nights in one of the rooms of this beautiful house, with the decoration as sober as refined.A haven of peace where sandrine has welcomed us in all simplicity we offer a solid breakfast and we can dine "without chichi" .un regret : internet access is more than limited ...
