"We were made very welcomed and found our waiter, although freshly arrived, very helpful and knowledgeable. Our entre cotes were perfectly cooked on the open fire but we're not of the best quality, the gratin dauphinois was not warm and the pastry of the tarte aux myrtilles was undercooked. Not the best of experience."

Been eating here for the past 3 years during ski vacation. Traditional Savoyarde cuisine. Super local food at very reasonable prices. Very friendly owner/restaurant manager. Bookings a must on weekend nights. We have been in small and large groups. Don't bother with starters go straight for main course. Excellent local dishes. Most dishes are for sharing. Meat and cheese fondue are all excellent. Local names to watch for are Raclette (melted cheese with white wine and seasoning) with local boiled patotes and bacon. Pierrade (selections of meats to grill on hotplate at table. All excellent and very very good value on this cosy restaurant in Les Saises. Highly recommend. Good selection of wine...

At the time of our visit, there were 2 sittings, 19.00 and 21.00. Ours was at 19.00 and we received prompt attention from helpful waiters. The menu had good traditional French mountain choices with a La Carte and set menu's. Drinks were served promptly along with water a bit too chlorinated for me). Ours was a mixture of a La Carte and set menu's, in both cases the portions were good and the food tasty. As the end of our 2 hr session arrived, we were a little rushed with the second shift arriving. Not too good if you want to take your time and have a leisurely dinner. Overall, good food and portions, prices typical for the area. No house wines.

On a Saturday evening in August, we arrived late to find the restaurant almost full. The owner and another waiter were very busy but managed to fit us in. Service was slow to start with but picked up. The food was excellent. We had the hot-stone (pierrade) cooking and it was worth every minute. The standard size was more than enough for us, and the potatos with reblechon were amazing. We had great local rose and red wine, and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. It was the last evening of our holiday, and it was a memorable one.

After visited (and reviewed 4/5) last year we 've been back twice during this holiday and it was great. Food is so fresh and tasty the Pierrade, Perche, Entrecote, Mixed Grill, Fondue may sound as 'ordinary ' local dishes, but the team put just that additional and personal touch and flavour in it that makes it on of the best local 'village traditionelle ' restaurant in it kind.
