La Bergerie - Reservar una mesa

This is a tale of two contrasting visits during the course of our recent fortnight’s holiday in the area. On the Friday, at the end of our first week, we went to La Bergerie in the evening to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. It was a splendid evening lovely table with views across the countryside and excellent service only slightly spoilt by her request to have no dressing on her salad it was heavily dressed…. That said my oeufs starter was great as was my wife’s pork steak with spaghetti and my steak frites mains. Despite posting opening hours 7-10 pm this restaurant does not open till 8 pm . We had driven 30 mins to try it out ; the doors were open , lights on but we were told somewhat abruptly no food till 8 . We would have waited had we been offered a table and a drink but we were shown the door . Poor communication , poor attitude . Not impressed

What a find, we were staying locally and found this gem by pure chance. We ate here four times in our 10 day stay. We ate at Geminos Michelin star and some other very good restaurants but this place was priceless. Great service Great food And a setting that is quintessential Provence. If you visit enjoy

we came to eat a noon on the terrace that was very pleasant with a beautiful view. we took the formula of the day (entrance, dish, dessert, wine or coffee) to 15 €, the dishes are simple and delicious, go ahead!

Great place for a summer evening meal on the patio. Attentive friendly staff. Lovely meal. Yummy fries.
