La Brasserie at Sofitel London Gatwick

At La Brasserie in the Sofitel London Gatwick Hotel, a mix-up with my hotel reservation led to a humorous situation. However, the timely intervention of a security staff member, followed by Malik's friendly assistance, turned the evening around. Malik's impeccable service continued throughout the evening, enhancing the already fantastic experience. The food at La Brasserie was both sophisticated and delicious, with each dish expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Malik's attentiveness and recommendations truly made the evening memorable. Not great, supposedly a French influence Restaurant, but hardly any French wine on the wine list and fairly basic wines. The food quality was just okay, but nothing to write home about. I ordered the Bouillabaisse, there wasn’t much of it and at £29 I expected better. Overall, for £70 ahead including one glass of wine I expected better quality/experience,and I thought the room was a bit of a barn and quite soulless. you are probably better going to the Premier Inn next door, or somewhere else although I appreciate food will be more produced there. PS the name is now La petite Reveur.

I was delighted at the level of attentive service here by the staff, who I believe make the difference to a good dining experience to one that is poor. The attention to detail was second to none and the food quality was outstanding. If you are facing an exhaustive travel itinerary, this is one place I would recommend. I’d also like to point out a key member of staff who went above and beyond my expectations called Aslam. Very kind and attentive service for an exhausted traveler. It’s a lovely peaceful and tranquil environment despite being at the airport.

Business dinner for two, prior to flying out from Gatwick. Although restaurant could do with a freshen-up, there was a relaxed atmosphere, made all the more pleasant by our waiter 'Yogi '. He transformed what would normally be a relatively sterile airport experience into one which we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The food was good and a good selection of wines, including some local vineyards. All-in-all, a pleasant experience, made better by some good staff. Reserva una mesa ahora

We had our evening meal here as were staying at the hotel. Fair choice of varied dishes. But as we had just came home from abroad we were pleased to see our old favourite fish and chips ! Haddock was large and panko breaded , served with French fries and tartare sauce ,lemon wedge and peas. Served nice and hot and well drained. Enjoyed our meal..would recommend.

This restaurant no longer exists yet a Sofitel website lists three restaurants with only the Petit Reveur giving a menu; an outdated one for the Brasserie. We booked the Petit Reveur on the basis of what I read only to be given a different menu so we decamped to another restaurant. Poor website maintenance.

Attended dinner for a small business meeting and we were all blown away with the quality and amount of food which the chef Sammy had prepared. This was topped off by the excellent service we received from our waiter Yogi, really fantastic!

We were staying just the one night before flying out to Spain for a long weekend. Food and service were excellent and particular thanks to server Deniz who was attentive and charming. Made it very special Reserva una mesa ahora

Atrocious cuisine. Cold yet I over cooked reheated food. Service was ok although inexperienced. Waiter arriving with food but did know what it was. Main courses uneaten. Absolutely atrocious restaurant.

Excellent meal. We were served by Yogi and everything was perfect. This young man made the evening. The food is exceptional and the chef should be very pleased with himself.
