La Brasserie d'Aurillac

Chosen on the strength of other reviews, a somewhat more formal place than many in the town - in a good way. Service good but restrained, food of a good standard though portions tending to the 'nouvelle' size. Vegetarian option available but they struggled a little when my wife wanted a veggie starter as a main.The bill was surprisingly reasonable.

Nice brewery, charming map...but the dishes are not up to what was announced! Rosbeef de Salers served cold, exotic dish with mascarpone whipped to...without whipped !! In short, disappointment was great.

Near the river, very easy parking opposite. Very good service; slightly more expensive than other similar restaurants but excellent quality food and good sized portions.

The menu du jour was seafood and what seafood. Absolutely lovely. Only a few customers that night - people don't know what they were missing.
