Quite frankly, from our very entrance to the restaurant, we felt we made a bad choice. Service was horrible, we ordered a fresh seafood platter for an appetizer and they tried to tell us that we should eat it after our main course. Their actions were insulting at best. Two of us ordered different lobster dishes, the lobster was so over cooked it was dehydrated. The risotto was mush and every time we objected, the person walked away from us. Finally, I had to get up and find the manager and talk with her. The whole staff treated us at best with disregard and at worse made us feel we were unwelcome in their establishment. In addition, the food was ruined.

This restaurant looks attractive and has a great sea front location, however, it is over crowded and under staffed, but worse than that was the sea food for which they are apparently well known just was not fresh including two oysters that were clearly bad and the other seafood on the tower appeared to have been cooked days ago and was dried out and just not fresh.I cannot recommend this restaurant. It maybe that is was a Sunday night and the restaurant had its second or probably third string in but I would not risk it.
This place oozes seafood and everybody seems to want to be here, it might be better to reserve but you don't have to. Huitres, bigarnots, bulots and what have you... well, err... they suggested we should try the huitres sauvages, which we recognized as the one they can't put in the baskets so they usually throw them away or give them to friends. We gave in and had to pay extra for this nuggestion. Let's say it was OK. Not as good as many other places or the North Sea coast and quite expensive too.
The venue is spectacular right on the front in St Malo, drawing us in for an evening meal despite slightly high prices on the menu by the front door. Oh dear - I think our waiter was French Royalty by birth and way too posh for the roll! Medium steak was tres bien cuit. No vegetables; over salted tuna steak; pressed to choose desert when ordering main; teeny portions; waiter stayed reassuringly surly and aloof throughout. There are many excellent restaurants in St Malo - avoid this one!! Reserva una mesa ahora
Lovely location with a wonderful view of the sea in a setting sun, but the food did not match the view. Apparently, this is a place where one should eat seafood platters. However, we opted for two different fish courses and had to send back both of them since they were completely overlooked and inedible. We got new ones without a problem, but the food was still mediocre at best. I would not recommend this place unless you only want to eat a seafood platter.
It is in a good position on beach and is well presented. It certainly looks the part of a smart french restaurant. The prices confirm that is what it thinks it is. However they pack you in like sardines, are far to busy to give any proper service, and worst of all the food is portion controlled and lacks taste. The wine list starts at 30 euros and their speciality plateau de fruits de mer are extremely poor value. Altogether terribly disappointing.
A party of four adults for evening meal. The waiter insisted we order our dessert whilst taking the order for the main, we refused. Four separate dishes ordered, all overcooked and over seasoned. Table next ours had a toddler who was sick, the staff were indifferent to this and seemed indignant to the family's plight who were clearly out for a treat. Little or no concept of customer service...will not go again, and cannot recommend
A great location for lunch, with excellent service. The window side table with a view over the sea was very comfortable. We splashed out and had " Le Prince des Mers " such a comprehensive platter of sea food, a joy to eat , could not hurry so we had to enjoy delicious wine as we went along.A restaurant to visit many times. A good large brasserie, seafood good and staff friendly and attentive. Popular with families and couples. Nice to get a table at the window with views out to sea.
