Estuvimos visitando Saint Joan de Luz y buscando restaurantes para comer pasamos por delante de este que tenía la terraza llena y nos servian, ya que a las 14 horas otros restaurantes nos dijeron que tenian la cocina cerrada. Fué una decisión acertada ya que el producto es fresco y está bien cocinado. Pedimos una ración de mejillones, un cuenco lleno con mejillones de todos los tamaños pero con un sabor muy bueno. Unas sardinas, que estaban frescas pero un poco pasadas de plancha. Ensalada y bonito con sofrito de tomate. La ensalada con una salsa que ya venia aliñada, vorrecta y el bonito plancha con el sofrito muy bueno. Relación calidad-precio, buena
Despite a flopped of negative opinions, we wanted to test by ourselves this guinguette with iron red tables and chairs under big trees. The vintage look has seduced us but also the attractive fish soup à la carte. As it was crowded, we had a little piece of table next to the dive, which ultimately did not embarrass us at all. The service is very fast and the waitresses are adorable because they have to run a marathon every day. In short, we chose the fish soup, the red tuna and its piperade and the grilled gambas. Excellent choice, everything was good with special mention to fish soup, speciality of the house and that really worth to be tasted.
Small friendly guinguette without pretention near the market, if you are looking for a starred restaurant pass your road. Indeed it is necessary to know that from “bar” the space becomes “restaurant” at 12 o’clock and that space must be reorganized. As for the dishes nothing to say, idem for the waitresses, they are actually very “active” because the place is very popular and that many people need to be served. Always friendly welcome from the boss.
A nice surprise this vintage restaurant atmosphere guinguette. Taste and home market cuisine. Personal at the slab. Prices correct, we are in St Jean de Luz! I come to correct some unfounded opinions, from gutters to the image, certainly, of their authors... We had a good time.

I read the negative reviews if we think it is a restaurant, pass your way, c e is not its purpose but if it is to taste simple dishes like sardines, you are at the right address. Prices are reasonable to compare to a restaurant.
Very nice Place Serveuses also...the only small flat for the gambas that are very good but a accompaniment would have been welcome because little satisfied
