We were so well welcomed, and ate so well, with such a wonderful view. If you can make the effort to come here, then do. Yes, you will stay in little log cabins, which you will share with other people; But you will have a unique experience in a Corsican village which is cut off from the outside world, and you will have an incrdible view. And thanks to 'le patron ' and his team, you will be able to experience this wilderness with a little comfort, and 'une grande cuisine '. We ate a wonderful meal with perhaps one of the best views of the world. Our 'waiter ' could not have been kinder, and you must ask him to reccomend a good wine, as our recommendation was sublime! Very beautiful terrace by the sea in Girolata with in addition the visit of the hosts of the place, our friends cows. Unmissable stage of the boat tour of the Piana calanches. What a sublime place offered by lady nature still preserved! Kitchen viewpoint, very good dish of the day duo espadon and royal dorade, a feast). Small flat on the price of gourmet coffee: 15€ a little excessive. We had a pleasant time and we sat down the stomach before returning to our cruise ship to Porticcio. We'll come back for sure!
We have been visiting Girolata for more than 20 years. Always dine at this unique restaurant. It never fails to deliver excellent food. That is because the charming, amusing owner, Michael is behind the bar, watching everything including, keeping the beach cattle out!!! Don't miss it!!!
