La Cabane du Mauret

We were staying in a holiday rental round the corner and our hosts recommended this restaurant for lunch on our arrival. The gentleman welcomed us on arrival and he speaks a little English so he tried to help us with the menu if we struggled. He brought something out from the kitchen to show my husband because we didn't understand one dish and when I asked if it was possible to have just one oyster to try, he happily obliged and didn't charge me for it. He also came back to see if I liked it and explained that they are creamier at this time of year. As it was Sunday lunch time the set menu was a little more expensive so we just ordered a main course. I had the fish and my husband had the prawns. Both were absolutely delicious. We were tempted into dessert of Apple tart which was also clearly home made and the best we have had. The food was wonderful, the owners (as I believe the gentleman was the owner and his wife was the chef) are extremely friendly, the chef was coming out a lot and chatting and welcoming people. It was a lovely atmosphere and we were surprised that there were only 5 other tables occupied, although it is only small. Highly recommended, we loved it.

Second time we have been there with friends. This small restaurant offers great and generous food. Service is very friendly and family-oriented. Very good affordable wines. The owner selects his wines very carefully ands successful. No need to ask for the wine list, ask the owner and follow his advices. You will then discover stunning and affordable wines both white and red. Then, they offer a great menu with sea food and fish. Very fresh and generous. To conclude, this small restaurant is highly recommended.

Excellent small restaurant. The owner is always smiling and you feel welcome when you enterBetter to make a reservation. The food is excellent, very fresh and tasty. But it is very affordable so it is a real pleasure to stop by and enjoy the quality of food Wine list is tiny but all the wines are very good and original In summary, a small place but highly recommended for it high value for money

A fantastic little find. We had a €16.50 3 course meal which went way beyond what I would expect for that price. Incredible flavours paired with a cozy atmosphere and friendly chef, who kept popping out of the kitchen to ensure we were happy with the food. Wonderful!

We had a very nice evening on te cosy terrace of this little restaurant. The food is good, the wine decent, the atmosphere pleasant. Couldn't be better for the price.
