My party of five arrived at 7:30pm for dinner at this restaurant. We were seated at a booth in the back and promptly greeted by our waiter, who took our drink orders and returned for our menu selections. Although the service was good initially, it took an unusually long 35 minutes for our food to arrive. The hamburgers were as delicious as we remembered, with options for regular burgers as well as ones topped with melted Brie and mushrooms, all served with either fries or a choice of green or Caesar salad. Came here in November 2015. There is a new Chef at this restaurant. Famous Louis Francois Marcotte, French chef and has many published books. Started with a red glass of wine. I had the Brie/Mushroom Hamburger with a green Salad and honestly the hamburger was decadent and memorable! The salad was also very tasty. Their presentation on a wood board was creative and very pretty. Overall a great early dinner with my mom and dad for only 110.00$ plus tip. I must mention the service from our waiter Alex, he was knowledgeable about the menu and very efficient. Reasonable price and honestly an upgraded menu at the Cage on St. Jean in Pointe Claire. BRAVO....
This is an old location - it needs a complete renovation. Bathroom disgusting, nasty, the whole restaurant is sticky/grimy, i can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. The food doesn't really matter, one visit to the tiny inadequate and cramped and totally disgusting mens bathroom with no dividers between urinals, one stall that is about the size of an airline seat and that hadn't been cleaned the whole day i guess because someone puked in the toilet at least 1 if not many days before, food ground into the carpet in reception room...and you won't want to eat there
I've always loved the La Cage au Sports franchise, but this one is the worst. Friend and I ordered steaks, and neither were acceptable. Smaller size than what they said, and mine was ordered medium rare and arrived overdone forget well done. Veggies were slathered in oil. They got the salads wrong totally as well. No excuses for it, there were not that many there!Waited 5 minutes before anyone approached to seat us, waited longer than is acceptable for the meal.Unless management changes and chefs change, NOT going back!

Have not been to "la cage" for a great while, they've reworked their menu with a known chef, and it shows. In particular the vegetarian options have been enhanced big time! Meat still appeals to me though so I had Cuban sandwich which was very good and a bit pricey, my friend partook of a Vegetarian option which was pronounced good. This Pointe Claire location was not overly full at lunch which favoured conversation. Service at table from barmaid was top notch. Will return...
La Cage is the perfect spot to watch a Canadiens game. They offer a great selection of bar food and beer. Be sure to take advantage of their specials, especially if you order a pitcher - they'll keep it cold for you in the fridge. The food may not be outstanding, but it is consistently good. And don't forget about the free popcorn - a nice added touch!
Being a sports bar, I fully expected they would have one happy hour special, or some local beers, but no such luck. They consider local beers "anything made in Canada". Food prices were slightly above average, drink prices were high, especially for beer. Service was ok. Oh, and you get free popcorn!
