La Cambuse 'chez Carlotta

We had been out all day sightseeing, and were tired and hungry. Not knowing Dieppe, I went to the ever trusty and reliable YELP site. It has never failed me. Chez Carlotta is a cozy Italian restaurant, decorated in a very fun, eclectic way. The food was just delicious. We chatted with the owner, who was waiting tables, including ours. He could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The food is incredibly fresh pastas are homemade and the menu changes daily. We had a delicious fried fish appetizer (entree in France) and shared a pasta dish. I'm still thinking about the the Montepulciano we had with our meal. We loved our dinner so much we went back the following night, Sunday, which was our last night in Dieppe. Must to our disappointment, it was closed.

After a lot of shell fish and other fruits of la Manche we were graving for something different. We had been in Dieppe already several days and looked for an alternative. Chez Carlotta is off the beaten track, and we only found it by chance walking the backstreets on that small island between city centre and Le Pollet. The restaurant is small but cozy. It is better booking a table rather than trying one 's luck. The menu offers a glimpse into italian cooking with dishes that you do not find very often. The pasta dishes are delicious. We were served by the charmingly, and had a great evening there.

Good but clearly not so good value to money Starter between 17 and 21€ Main around 30 And dessert 8 Expensive for Dieppe and the serving size is rather small

the pasta was so delicious, me and my partner both enjoyed it thoroughly, 100% would recommend! The owner is lovely too!
