My Wife and I only had one night in town and we were lucky enough to go to La Capitainerie. The owners who operate this restaurant are wonderful people and excel at what they do. A beautiful husband and wife, he is the chef and I mean a proper chef, she runs the service and is as lovely as possible. Great wine selection and the food is extraordinary, but it is the character and spirit of the owners that makes it so much more special. Thank you Denny and Claire for an amazing evening. Went here for a relaxing drink this evening the English speaking french lady was so rude when we politely asked for a wine and beer don’t why but she aggressively refused us ! We would have happily sat on the grass if she wanted the tables for food Obviously she earns too much ! Spoilt our evening don’t go here!

Sadly the hospitality was distinctly lacking, in fact plain rude, especially when recounting his treatment of my wife and me to another guest(never assume that the English can’t speak French)!
