We spent a night in this establishment where we also dine and have breakfast. Our stay was not unpleasant, but too many flats did not allow us to fully appreciate this passage among the Paulands. The first impression was positive, the location in the vineyards allows to immediately immerse themselves in the wine culture of the region. very beautiful building, the courtyard and the surroundings of the pool are well maintained, the trees and hedges also, we were more fortunate to be able to enjoy the sun and pleasant temperatures in September. Professional and friendly home without making tons, with the smile, everything is announced from the beginning in terms of pricing to not have any bad surprises (we had booked via a wonderbox), the transparency on this point has been well put.However, the discovery of the room has cooled us a bit, the photos consulted on trip advisor and the website of the establishment were more flattering. The decoration is frankly defamed and reduced to the simplest, painted paper gondolas in several places, old-fashioned carpet, hole in the wall next to a window that had to once welcome a hook to attach the curtains, bathroom and sanitary that would deserve to be renovated, the contrast with the exterior aspect of the building surprised us. small TV screen but we weren’t there to make a movie session. On the other hand, it was clean, comfortable bedding, no noise in spite of the proximity of the national.Products offered at good quality breakfast, croissants were particularly appreciated, but a lack of choice for the salty part of the buffet, the choice of cheese and charcuterie was very limited, no eggs ...Finally, our main negative impression is on the restaurant of the hotel. we understood in our box two menus burgund, which we chose. A velvety asparagus amuse and (chèvre ?) good but no effort on the presentation, paper tablecloth under the verrine, no grass or anything else to decorate and bring contrast. Too bad because velvety pretty good. concerning the entrances we stayed on our hunger, very rich Burgundy salad with salad but toast with very small spices, 4 snails and ham persilted in cheche quantity. terrine with good but no more. come the dishes, a piece of soft and quality beef, but sauce with foie gras below what you can expect, the whole lack of seasoning. Deceiving pork pluma, cooking too just to leave some parts on the side because raw cut, grapes in the plate but no sauce, the flavors are not at the rdv. for both dishes, accompaniment certainly composed of fresh products too small. clean but little originality. On the other hand, the crusts of the epoisses were appreciated when tasting the cheese. felt globally very mixed, especially local products were not sufficiently valued to our taste. However, we mention the excellent selection of wines, in glass it may seem expensive, but if we compare to the prices practised in the majority of restaurants for wines far below, the quality ratio is more than correct. Too many imperfections in the end. Too bad.
