First of all, the date I have entered is incorrect. I used to spend a lot of time here between split shifts when my partner and I were chalet caterers in Oz way back in 2007! We loved it, it was our peaceful haven. We would happily sit there for a few hours watching the world go by over a few coffees and some lovely food, or a few mulled wines to get rid of the chill! I feel nostalgic just thinking about it now : There was always a constant stream of hungry families and couples skiing/boarding up to the door and clomping in for some well-deserved food! Their hot chocolate and mulled wines are gorgeous and I would definitely recommend this cafe wholeheartedly. I think a return trip is in order now! :
After over 10 years of visiting Oz for our annual ski trips I stumbled across this restaurant as we were looking for somewhere new due to our regular haunt's owner having a grumpy week! We were so impressed with our meal and service that we came back again the next night and will be returning next year. The first night I had Raclette which was delicious and the piece of cheese that I shared with my pal was enormous! The second night I ordered the Hot stone meat platter and it totally defeated me due to it's range of different meats, which included beef, chicken and duck. The decor isn't particularly great but the quality of food more than makes up for it.
We were greeted and had a nice spot on a terrace. Here they made a table for us and asked us if we wanted to drink something. They can speak English but also speak slow French when noticing you are not a native French speaker. The drinks and food was great! We ordered veggie burgers (it’s already a bit plus they have options for vegetarians). The portion was good, next to the burger you get great fries and a salad. We were lucky because there was live music as well. Overall a great experience!!
Welcoming restaurant with varied menu offering traditional fondue and raclette as well as burgers, pasta etc. Staff were friendly and helpful, very attentive and were able to provide a lot of detail regarding the menu. Would definitely recommend this cosy, comfortable restaurant, delicious food and very reasonably priced.
