La Cigale - Reservar una mesa

We came into Bonn for the first time, and were originally planning to go to one of the classical Bonn restaurants. We changed our mind after we happened upon La Cigale while on our city exploration. The photo of the outside of the restaurant on the restaurant website gives a good impression of how the restaurant looks and feels. The staff was extremely welcoming and gave us a table sufficiently separate from the other guests and providing a good sense of privacy. The wine selection was good, and the waiter's advice on the pairing with our meals was well taken. The food was wonderful...my wife had the moules as a main course, and I the dry aged pork chop. The presentation was visually very attractive, and the portions generous. I ordered the cheese for dessert, and it came with a wonderful house made fig mustard. When we told the waiter that one cheese in particular was unusual and delicious, as well as the fig mustard, the kitchen surprised us by sending another portion of cheese with much more of the mustard. We ended up purchasing 200 g of the fig mustard to take home. So, all in all, the ambience was perfect. Staff and service was excellent. The food was delicious. The We highly recommend this restaurant. When we come back to Bonn, we will certainly visit again.

We came here for dinner on our last night in Bonn. What a delight! Very French in preparation and presentation. Generous portions (especially for the French). I had soup de jour, a delightful potato and leek soup. For mains, I had the sole, and my wife had the veal. Both were beautiful to see and even better to eat. My espresso was served hot and not burnt; my wife enjoyed the rhubarb tart. No disappointments with our food!We ordered a bottle of Medoc. EUR45 for a 2011. Quite good. Attractive outdoor seating in good weather; comfortable though cramped indoor seating for the rest of the year--the restaurant is deep and very narrow.

La Cigale is a French restaurant located in the city center of Bonn, just 5 minutes walking from Beethoven Haus. The food is really good. I chose lobster and it was delicious. Desserts were spectacular. I do recommend it for a romantic dinner. The only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars is because we were forced to share the table with another couple even if we booked 4 days in advance and arrived on time. It's not cool when you pay 100€ for a dinner and have to share the table with strangers. I have the feeling the personnel tried to accommodate too many people on a Saturday night.

La Cigale is a French Style restaurant, they constantly change their card adapting to the season and to the available fresh products. They serve solid quality with a touch of experimenting in taste and texture. There selection of wines is really great as well as the ratio of price and quality you get. We have over the years never been disappointed!On the weekends better make a reservation.

Enjoyed lunch and the atmosphere and menu are quite diverse and intriguing with a great hint of French flair. Definitely will be back to enjoy more items and wines on the menu. Seating choices are from public to nice quiet places.
