La Clova - Reservar una mesa

Having been going to La Clova for a good few years now nothing has changed and although it is not as good as some of the places to eat in Calella de Palagfrugell it is a good priced place and had three course for 12.50 Euros. Sometimes you just don't want a big heavy meal at night so it is nice just to have something light and not too much of it. If you are looking for something special this is not the place but if you just want a nice wee dinner it is ideal, we will go back a few times once again when we return next year.

We walked past this restaurant at lunchtime...the food looked wonderfully fresh and it was busy so we decided to return that evening. Very reasonablely priced menu of the day (12.50 euros), which they served all day... inclusive of bread and a drink. Catalan salad, grilled fish with mushrooms and lemon ice cream ordered, and all were delicious. Also a very generous glass of decent wine. Friendly and attentive staff so we will definitely be back. They are closed October to March, which is pretty typical in this area.

We were looking for a lunch at not sea front prices and stumbled across La Clova. A basic, Spanish style restaurant which I would imagine sees more locals than tourists. You need to know one thing. The Menu of the Day is a three course meal with a drink for 12 Euros! Decent size helpings too. Nothing special but superb value. Can 't speak for anything else but for a cheap lunch with no great expectations, it is very good.

We called to La Clova our first night in Calella and also a couple of times for a bottle of wine. We were always made most welcome, service was very good. Exactly as advertised. I would heartedly recommend for basic, honest food

Called on the off chance at the start of our holiday very friendly good service nice food and good priced wine going again tonight
