First ImpressionI searched for local restaurants nearby that make sancocho soup and decided to order with La Sorpresa since I had not tried it before.Within a few minutes of placing my order I received an email stating my order had been cancelled by the restaurant because they are “busier than usual.” I thought that was a good thing. Cancelling orders is certainly one way to ensure you’re not busy any longer.I would have appreciated at least a call from the restaurant to explain why the order was being cancelled or offer me another time to place an order. I ordered food from another restaurant currently taking orders.This was not a good first impression.
There is only one employee that speaks English as well as Spanish so I sat around for about 10 minutes just waiting to order. I did try with the Spanish speaking woman but it was clearly not working. The food was DELICIOUS!! I will definitely be learning the names of the dishes just to return to this eatery!
Well never go again, I guess I have to be a regular to even have my order taken. I waited in line only to watch people come after me and have their order taken.Not to mention zero social distancing being enforced, as well as zero mask wearing being enforced. Staff didn't have on mask or gloves.
the order $22) was incomplete. just small container with beef. NO rice and beans which were suppose to be included, called the restaurant and was told no one was there to respond and he refused to give his name.

Sry good food and at night you come a have a nice drink or 2 I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a place to come and have a good time
The food is delicious!! My favorite is the sancocho and mofongo de camarones. Great service and great atmosphere!
Everything was terrible. I can’t believe they sell food like this... it was just disgusting.
The restaurant was enjoyable, but the steak was tough and lacked flavor.

The pernil was extremely tough in all three orders and was not edible.
