The food at the restaurant was generally good, but the steamed chicken tamale was a disappointment. It looked like shredded tuna fish and had a fishy smell, which was displeasing. When I asked for a drink instead of a refund, I was denied. Despite there being no signs in Spanish or English stating no refunds or exchanges, my request for a refund was also rejected. The server then called me a name in Spanish, which I understood, so I used Google Translate to inform her that I would keep the food and report the incident to the Better Business Bureau.
I give 3 stars for great service. Being Latina with not so good Spanish my daughter wasn?t judged as she usually is when going to latino restaurants. However, my soup was terrible. It was soup of oil and ?undrinkable?. The contents could be eaten but the soup itself was straight oil and straight disgusting because of it! This soup was an utter disappointment and waste of money. I?m sick and the soup itself was literally the sole reason I got it! You could even feel all the oil
I got the sopa de res and a chicken loco burrito. The sopa de res was mostly water and cabbage. There were 2 small pieces of beef in it. No bones, no shank, no oxtail. It had almost no flavor. Very disappointed ??. Please do better for a soup that costs over $12. The chicken burrito was HUGE, however the chicken was so overcooked it tasted like drywall. Overall very unhappy. I hope they work to make their food better.
I won't be coming back. I ordered lengua quesadilla and there was a piece of chicken in it. I complained and waitress tried to tell me it wasn't. It was a piece of chicken. I always enjoy ordering from this restaurant because the food is consistently delicious and fresh. It's my favorite spot to eat, despite the fact that I have to travel all the way from northeast DC to get there.
I absolutely adore the tamales from OMG Family! They are so delicious that I have to close my eyes when I eat them, it feels like I'm in heaven.

It is a very good place to taste our typical Latin dishes. I recommend them, there are some very kind and beautiful moms.
