La Colombe Frogtown Cafe And Roastery

There are five locations in California, all situated in Southern California. As of April 2024, I've only visited the Silverlake and Frogtown locations, but I prefer the Silverlake spot due to its more secluded atmosphere, which makes it less congested and offers easier parking. They have a few parking spaces designated for La Colombe visitors in an adjacent lot, but you can typically find ample street parking, depending on the time of day. The patio is a lovely area with plenty of seating, so you can enjoy your time outside. Great location. Plenty of space for bikes. But.Every time I go the same thing happens. I order a coffee drink with whole milk. They’re out of whole milk. They ask if I want almond or oat milk. I say I want oat milk. They add $1 to my order for my alternative milk “choice”. Wasn’t my choice, dude. Oh sorry about that. $1 charge removed.Is this a scam? How many people who don’t notice or don’t speak up and lose $1 to these Morrissey tattoo having grifters? Why is any LA coffee shop charging extra for the eco friendly milk option to begin with?

I ordered the nitro cold brew and found it to be a little too acidic leaving a slightly sour aftertaste. It's not too sour so milk can mask the flavor. Unfortunately, I agree with other reviewers that it's not the strong, well-balanced cup that you usually find at La Colombe cafes on the east coast (the best is E 4th Lafayette in NYC). But for a cyclist who could use a boost of caffeine to finish her ride I'm not complaining!

My friend parked by the park entrance, and then we walked to the cafe. The draft oat milk latte was absolutely incredible—truly a vegan dream come true! I've been vegan since 2011, and who would have thought this is what life would be like in 2024? I can't wait to return every time I'm in LA! Reserva una mesa ahora

I love certain mornings here. It can get a little hectic on weekends and there are a couple of unfriendly staff members I try to avoid but I have my favorites and I love returning here again and again!! Coffee SOLID every time!

I was very underwhelmed by their coffee and food compared to what it tastes like on the East Coast. The pastry was dry but it was a cool atmosphere, service was top notch and definitely would recommend for vibe.

Great service. Great pour over. Good coffee takes time and yes I did wait about 8 mins but good coffee is worth it! Right on the LA river bike path as well and nice scenery to look at while enjoying a coffee.
