La Corteza - Reservar una mesa

We came to La Corteza and I expected a regular service, but what I found was a very friendly hostess/waitress and excellent food. I confess I ordered a bandeja paisa thought I would get an average plate, but what I exceeded my expectations. All ingredients in this typical. The Colombian court was of excellent quality and the presentation was also excellent. I was so impressed that I asked the hostess if the boss was Colombian, but to my surprise he comes from Guatemala. It reflected elegance, talent and devotion. The place is beautiful. And the bathrooms are also beautiful (and you don't have to go thru the kitchen . I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how nice it was. Most Latin restaurants are not so beautiful. The food was delicious. They are looking for more ppl to rent so they can improve their service. And prices are not bad.

Very friendly staff. Very good food. Great portions cheap. Perfect place to stay over dinner and talk to friends. We never felt hurried. BYOB, but there's an alcohol store two doors down.
