We popped in here for lunch after a visit to the Chateau at Castelnaud. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table in the courtyard, the waitress was very patient with all our questions about the menu. My husband and I had the bruschetta...which was beautifully cooked and very flavoursome. One of our children had nuggets and chips, the other a burger...again both excellent quality, tasty and very generous portions. The children had ice cream to finish, the waitress brought them up to the fridge so they could choose which. We found the price very reasonable, the staff excellent and the food top quality. We would, without hesitation return to this restaurant.
Called here after a visit to the castle. Chose after reading reviews which fairly reflected our experience. It was a lovely day so we sat outside. There were quite a few tables occupied although we hadn't reserved. Friendly welcome and service was excellent throughout our...visit. We had a bavette and a cheeseburger maison. Both were very well cooked and presented. My burger was the best I have had for a while. The steak was cooked exactly as my wife asked for. She followed up with a creme brulee which was apparently very good. Very relaxing meal. Well worth the reviews we had seen. Would highly recommend. We know where to go if we visit the castle again.
After we had dreamed of the amazing chateau castlenaud, we were ready for a cold drink. we did not expect to order lunch, but if other diners command go pst we could not resist! the brat duck with mushroom sauce, creamy potato and green salad was absolutely delicious! the nice owner/server recommended the walnut cake with whip cream and caramel sauce that was excellent. his wife is the cook. everything I can say is wow! we were so full that we could hardly go up the hill to the parking lot and we talked about our delicious meal all day!
What a lovely find food was just as it says on the tin a large group of us ate lunch on one visit and dinner on another we found it all well above the norm for this type of dining all food came hot tasty...and well served and the staff very friendly nothing was too much trouble also great for kids and not expensive well done worth every penny or sorry cent

This is the fourth year that we have returned to this wonderful restaurant which is set very close to the Chateau at Castelnaud. We have never been disappointed with the food, drinks or service. I can recommend the Chicken salad and the bruschetta. The waiting...staff are friendly and helpful and the food is always fresh and delicious.
I stopped a late lunch here. what a great food! we polished the duck and the net so fast - the duck is a must. we also had a spaghetti in cream sauce with goat cheese- loved it. our waiter took care of us really well...to, very helpful with the menu and went out of his way to keep the children occupied.
what a fabulous place to eat, wine, the environment and the service are excellent. they couldn't do enough for my daughter and took care of our evening. this is one of the most beautiful places we have eaten in France, would highly recommend.
Visited here after looking round the castle. Had the pizza style options which was great and we sat outside in the sheltered area while it rained. No complaints it just didn’t reach a star potential for me.

three of us enjoyed this little restaurant. eating was excellent and I am, as vegetarian, hard to please! the service was excellent with waiter knowledge or talking. not only knowledgeable, but friendly
We had the Magret Brochette. Excellent food and service. Lovely location adjacent to the Chateau. Would highly recommend
