We cold-called at this little bistro style eaterie one lunchtime on an overcast, dull, late November day. What a pleasant surprise to find an original and retro furnished cosy and warm hideaway complete with authentic furniture and artefacts from a time gone by. We sat in a corner by the pellet burner (very unusual to find this level of hygge in a restaurant in these parts) and had a very relaxing and enjoyable lunch all made in the house. One of us had a lovely fish pie with a fresh green salad and the other had a delicious salmon quiche with salad. The bread which accompanied was good quality and not the ubiquitous supermarket bread so often found with lunch time menus. We had a lovely car...
Staying locally we were recommended to try this place. Was not open evenings at the time so went for lunch. Sat outside with views to the charming town square. Sadly the food did not meet our expectations of French cuisine . Veal was gristly although in a nice sauce . Sides of potato and vegetables below par. Sadly could not recommend this place as there are much better places in the vicinity.
