La Creperie Du Donjon

A lunchtime visit after a heavy 'degustation ' at Merieau. This was exactly the sort of simple well cooked food we needed. The choices are very wide and perhaps my choice of 'American ' was not as wise as it could have been, but the crepe itself was utterly divine, even better were the dessert options. A carafe of simple robust wine was an excellent accompaniment to the food whilst we sat outside on the terrace, luxuriating in the later summer (early autumn) sun.

It's always a struggle to find a decent restaurant open on a Monday in France. Happily the Crêperie du Donjon was and we were delighted with the good. The welcome was lukewarm and service rather slow. This was offset by excellent gallettes and very tasty desserts. We would recommend this place for simple, well cooked food. Certainly not fine dining but very good value for money, we will be back.

Whilst staying in Montrichard we decided to have dinner at this creperie. We ate outside on the terrace which was great apart from the occasional car going by (wouldn’t stop us from eating outside again). The service was good. I had the seafood galette followed by a honey and lemon crepe, both of which were superb. Good simple wholesome food. We will definitely go back when we are in town

Went in here for crepes and wine while staying in Montrichard. Chilled out vibe with an excellent selection of sweat and savoury options. Good mix of people and able to eat outside no problem. Well worth a visit.

Very unfriendly, accused me of lieing, very slow service, wouldn't recommend. The blonde lady was in particular very unprofessional didn't offer a solution we had no other option but to leave. .
