La Cueva De Jero

It is difficult to describe the experience at La Cueva de Jero Restaurante Rural without resorting to masses of superlatives.... The restaurant is well “off the beaten track”, although is also well signposted along said “unbeaten track”. It is a charming place in idyllic settings, set into the side of the surrounding rock face, with half the restaurant being a cave. It is cost and the atmosphere is inviting. The host, Gerónimo, is genial, expansive and welcoming .... and the food .... oh good grief the food is an explosion of flavors, all getting together to have the most magnificent party in your mouth. I cannot speak highly enough of La Cueva de Jero and also cannot wait to revisit it! If you are visiting Almería, take time to go to La Cueva de Jero. Your experience will be memorable, to say the least

We were staying nearby in Grima and we left it until the last night before coming to eat here. Jero took great care of us and kept us entertained all evening, even while cooking the most amazing food! We pretty much let him decide what to serve us and he didn't put a foot wrong, course after course of the most amazing dishes. What a great night. If we return to the area this restaurant is now on our must-visit list.

Great place for tasting amazing typical food at a unique place. The restaurant is placed in a traditional setting in this area in Andalusia: a cave in a mountain. The place is special and cool but the owners are warm and welcomimg. Let Jero suggest what to eat and enjoy first quality products (all greens are excellent, and meat and the tuna “montaditos” are to die for) in a traditional way.

¡Lo encontramos con la ayuda del hombre amable en la gasolinera cercana! Un lugar encantador con una cálida bienvenida. La comida y la bebida eran excelentes y Jero era entretenido y divertido. Ciertamente volveremos en el futuro, una experiencia tan única. Nos encantó, muchas gracias Jero.

Hemos visitado Jero cada vez que hemos venido aquí el año pasado. Es rústico pero muy único pero importantemente los alimentos grandes y jero es extremadamente entretenido. Nos vemos en junio. Muchas gracias. Kevin y Leigh.
