We came to Le Champ des Lunes at the recommendation of the chef from our cooking course (Jean-Marc Villard in Meudon.) From the many Luberon restaurants he recommended, this was his favorite. When in France, we make it a soft goal to try as many Michelin as we come across, but actually cancelled a reservation to try this venue on our last day. The grounds of the hotel are beautifully set within gardens, and the clean, defined decor of the restaurant was a refreshing change from the somewhat kitschy mode in most Provence. Much to our delight, the superb seasonal compositions of chef Jérôme Faure’ reflected the ambience, and we were treated to a lunch that I have no words to describe. If you see the photos, just know that the taste on the tongue equalled the treat to the eyes. Two items of note - first, there is a vegetarian prix-fixe option that was beautifully done and a delight to our mostly plant-based friends. Haven't seen this often in Provence. Secondly, we had a bit of problem with a pine nut allergy - though mentioned several times when ordering, we still received dishes with the offending nut, and if not vigilant, would have consumed with poor results. Though the chef is amazingly talented with both composition and presentation, the front of the house needs some improvement.I have no doubt that this will be a starred restaurant at our next visit.

Did they take 45 minutes to come take our order because we were american? because we didn't want aperitifs but just wine with dinner? because we were hotel guests and thus unlikely to be repeat customers of the resto? Did they take OVER AN HOUR to serve the dessert course because they don't care who is still eating at 11 pm (ironically due to the fact that they couldn't be bothered to take our order when we sat down at 8)? Don't know and don't care. We had a mediocre meal that lasted nearly 4 hours with a snooty sommelier who couldn't handle the number of tables. Food was good, but not worth the pain of dealing with servers/sommeliers/exhaustion from a 4 hour dinner. (By contrast, we had excellent service at the other, more casual restaurant at the hotel.)

I had dinner and lunch at this lovely restaurant. The weather was wonderful, so we ate in the beautiful outdoor courtyard, but the indoor accommodations are almost as beautiful. The food lived up to the setting, and was outstanding. Chef Jerome Faure's food was both inventive and delicious. My personal favorite was the lobster starter and the local trout that melts in your mouth. The service was gracious and warm. A wonderful experience all around.

Very "nouvelle cuisine" with outstanding attention to detail. Extraordinary flavour combinations on every plate interspersed with little "amuse bouches". Great experience. About £70 per head including very adequate and reasonably priced wines from their own estate. A must do particularly if you stay at the fantastic hotel (see separate review.)
