The food was average; the portions were sizable, but the flavors were nothing special. It took a long time for someone to take our orders—one waiter dropped off the menus and water, but it was about 25 minutes before a different waitress came to take our orders. We sat outside, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would recommend this place if you're simply looking to enjoy a bottle of wine and relax, but I wouldn't suggest it for those seeking exceptional Italian cuisine.
This was the best experience we had in La Jolla. The ambiance was wonderful, and the service from Marian and Connie, along with the attention to detail from the owner, was exceptional. The food was delicious — the pasta, pizza, and the best cheesecake we’ve ever had, not to mention the excellent wine selection. We enjoyed it so much that we went back for another visit two days later. You really need to try it!
Stephanie provided a warm greeting when we arrived. She was so nice and pleasant. First time dining here and we asked lots of questions concerning the menu. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We were disappointed that there was nothing provided for my husband birthday.
