The salsa and guacamole available by the pint at this restaurant were full of flavor. While there is a limited selection of tortillas and chips, they offer well-known brands. Additionally, they have a variety of sweet bread options, such as the powdered sugar star which was quite good. However, I was saddened to discover that the establishment supports the killing of defenseless animals. Despite enjoying their salsa, I cannot in good conscience continue to patronize a place that condones such cruelty. While others may not share my concerns, I have decided to take my business elsewhere.
I recently dined at La Moderna on the first Friday after Ash Wednesday. I enjoyed their delicious red beef tamales and plan to save some for tomorrow's rainy weekend. The customer service was great and the tamales were warm and flavorful. I also tried their fabulous salsa. Thank you for the excellent service and keep up the good work. I've always like this place, everything is delicious. Discourteous to a customer, customer because he lost his order due allotted time customer wasnt advised. They should given a complementry discount on the next order. The conversion turned foul between customer and owner. Keeping customers is important unless we are so good satisfying has been lost.
So food is good. But gotta say service is very rude. They make a mint there..line out the door and food is fresh. But the servers there are very impatient and can be very rude. I just wouldnt go back just because I don't like the Non-friendliness vibe .

Excellent tamales, especially the cheese and green chili and the red beef. Also excellent pan dulce although a little pricey (starts at .90 cents a piece). Strongly recommend making tamale orders in advance on any holiday!
I adore their carnitas and tamales. Every tamale they offer is fantastic. The carnitas are also a favorite, whether in a burrito, taco, or on its own. Show some love for this local bakery! Four stars!
One of our first stops when in town from the Bay Area. Can't find beef tamales anywhere. Have to beat the line though, but worth the wait. I'm hooked on the salsa too!
