We visited La Fleur de Sel twice during a week in Pinarello, Corsica in September 2015. The front of house service is charming and friendly. The restaurant is small with three lovely tables at the front overlooking Pinarello harbour and beach. The setting is very romantic. We paced ourselves because the food is rich and luxurious. The Black Angus beef is fantastic, matched by the quality of the fresh fish. Unlike other restaurants fish is not priced by the weight, so there are no nasty surprises when the bill arrives. At first we thought it would be a struggle as only one of us spoke French. The senior members serving at first took it that we should be speaking french and why not. We each tried and one of us took over. Once they knew he spoke enough fluently to get by their attitude changed. Then suggestions arrived for the courses and the wines. Overall the starters and mains were good and the coffee was very good. I asked for a pasties in my coffee which the maitre de thought strange but when he brought it out he complemented me on my choice and had never thought of mixing the two. He intended to apparently. Much more expensive than the neighbouring restaurants, but it had good reviews, so we treated ourselves. Well, something must have changed in the kitchen and not in a good way. The food was terrible. I had the beef topped with foie gras. For €35 I was expecting a nice piece of fillet (although it didn 't say it was on the menu) not the small, chewy, unidentifiable cut of meat I got served on top of some mash with a bit of gravy. I hoped the chocolate fondant would make up for the disappoinment, buy sadly it was badly over cooked. I sent it back. Dreadful. Went here twice for lunch and once for dinner in August. Lovely family run restaurant with a great Corsican menu and sea food. It is a little quieter than other restaurants on the same strip which makes getting a table easier but the menu and food are as good if not better than the others nearby. Super salads for lunch and at a very reasonable price.

Having visited this area many times , this is the first visit to Fleur de Sel . And although trip advisor had some negative comments local friends said we should try .,, the friends were right ! What a fabulous night fantastic food great service very helpful staff , so good we went again and guess what it was even better . A must visit restaurant .
Very disappointed . Service completely let down kitchen . Complete lack of understanding of menu, mayonnaise in plastic tubes dumped on table feel sorry for chef/owner as quality of food ok . Left feeling uncomfortable recommend change of waiting staff ASAP
Every course, every morsel of our meal was excellent. The service was friendly, efficient and informative. We could fault nothing about this restaurant and we left nothing on our plates.
Very well prepared dishes , good wine list. Great service with a very friendly touch by Lili!! Nice fritto misto and grilled filet of Rouget. We will surely come back!!

Charcuterie was good but fish dishes very average as were the desserts. Overall expensive for what you get but good atmosphere setting.
Great staff and good food.. it was a festival night so restricted menu but staff friendly and food really good
