Bar sympathique à la sortie du Faouet route de Gourin. Après une rénovation au printemps 2016, la fourmi rouge a gagné en prestance.Ce bar devient une adresse à ne pas manquer. We were staying in a friends gite in Le Faouet they brought us to this lovely little bar, on a Tuesday evening when they have impromptu music by locals who turn up play. Thierry Youcef own the bar, the menu comprises of...Tartines (pizza type toppings on XXL bruschettas) unusual choices as well as safer ones. Absolutely delicious but not as heavy as a pizza base. Not expensive at all, incredibly good Chardonnay. Host Thierry is very congenial (Youcef) was in the kitchen, the music was very good had people toe tapping. Will certainly be going back to see them next year when we're on holiday there again. Can't wait.

We came to Le Faouet in the evening and very hungry. There are several restaurants at the main square but all of them were closed. La Fourmi Rouge about 1 km far away was our last hope. We tried it and it was a nice...surprise. Restaurant was almost full, with great atmosphere. By coincidence there was a session of musicians playing Celtic music and jazz music. It was awesome ! over they gave us delicious dinner and local beer. Host and staff were very friendly, talked with us. We left them like friends.

We called in here for a coffee and a beer after an unexpected hospital visit, basically to cheer ourselves up. We has never been in before, so were really presently surprised. There was a great choice of Breton beers. Superb coffee and a really great...apple tart (not sure if it went with beer, but I gave it a try! .

I love this place so much. Visited Tuesday night and there were nice live music from around 8:00. Eating was absolutely divine and several desserts are totally acceptable!! Owners are super friendly, incredibly patient with my embarrassing rustic French and so much...fun . Thank you guys great night.

Great welcome from the proprietors, very friendly atmosphere, lovely food, coffee and beer. Tuesday night is music session night - we love it! Nice people there - Breton, French, Breton and more. We keep coming back...

Stopped off with my dad after a 10km hike, just what we needed to replenish! Delicious tartines (bruschetta-type open-faced grilled sandwiches), a superb tarte tatin for dessert, friendly owners, couldn't fault it.
