We buy our breakfast croissants, baguettes, and pain au chocolat here everyday. ALL of the staff are very friendly, welcoming, and polite. They are always patient with my French speaking and occasional incorrect pronunciation of words. We have been coming here for more than 3 years and are disappointed when they are closed for a vacation or a day off. We have eaten a complete breakfast here in their dining room but normally take our croissants home to enjoy. They sell ready to eat and take away cold sandwiches, desserts, and drinks for lunch. We have tasted the croissants from EVERY other boulangerie Intra-Muros and think these are the best.
It was wonderful to be recognized and welcomed after a 21 month absence due to COVID. The croissants were as large and delicious as always. We also enjoyed a take away lunch of jambon/fromage sandwich made on their delicious baguette, chips, eclair chocolat, Orangina, Fanta Orange for a reasonable 12 euros. Only 3 people at a time are allowed in the building, there are plenty of spaced apart tables on the terrace and masks are required by customers and staff. Can 't wait to try the rest of their breads and pastries.
Worlds best Almond Croissants!!! Are you a marzipan lover, do you love Croissants? If you can answer both with yes please visit and buy 2 almond Croissants. What a guilty pleasure. I never had one which was so juicy and crunchy at the same time. Marzipan filling was just perfect. Fine and rich. I came back several time since the family wanted to try and gone there was mine. I never asked if they were their own recipe... but it tastes like made with love. Hope to come back one day and eat them again.
I came here as the one I intended to visit by the cathedral was closed for “holidays”. I’m so glad I stumbled upon it and will return here next time. The desserts and bakery is amazing, the coffee was perfect, and the service was friendly and helpful even though my French is almost non existent. They made me feel very welcome and happy. Don’t hesitate to visit!

The best way to start your day at Saint-Malo is with a stop at Boulangerie La Fournée Malouine. The food is fantastic and so fresh. The prices are great too.
