this restaurant is located in the heart of Aigues-mortes a beautiful medieval city on the south coast of france (I will check the city separately). The restaurant is one of many for trading within the city walls and being honest. little difference between them to save the price. la gardiane has a good selection of dressed and cats for all tastes including moules and frits, bull steak, crepe and pasta dishes were cooked and served to a reasonable standard, but I was 't wow'd by the overall standard of food. the whole experience was made by an attempt of the restaurant to have one over us with a bottle of water when the waiter sat on the table, he asked us if we wanted a drink to which we (in...

Oh dear, they say avoid Place St Louis as the food, restaurants etc are so poor and this is no exception. It's our own fault as we know Aigues very well but I had a craving for paella so went for lunch here. The location...is pleasant on a vey hot day due to the spraying water/vapour, the food is very mediocre, actually poor. Les moules frites, it was hard to find the moules and the paella was the worst I've ever had, avoid on all fronts. Deserts are mass produced rubbish, coffee good. Waiter was pleasant. Cheap, will not be back.

we know aigues morte good and while the place is a great place for drinks, we know that eating can best be normal. that said how hard can it be to ruin moule fries? we came to la gardiane and had a...big meal. service was fast, friendly and efficient. the moules are a good price option at around 10 euro. Mustels were excellently fresh and steaming hot only cooked. the fries were also perfect, light and crispy outside, fluffy inside and bumpy hot. no complaints would be for moule again no problem.

we were on a long one-day road trip with friends from anduze (vogelheiligtum, aigues mortes, saltworks, le gray du roi.) this place in the place saint louis, in the shadow of the statue of the good king louis of cruciforms rest, we have in La...Gardianne (yes, two n's after the entry menu) they have an extensive How can you beat that? Right in the Place SL. Very good food and service. I had the Paella special and my wife also had a special which was fried small fish (similar to minnows), fries and a salad. Each main course was about 14E. I would recommend this to...anyone. You can eat outside or inside.
