I ordered a takeaway single special fish for £6.90, which appeared to be fish cooked in batter and bread crumbs. However, the crumbs were quite rough and uneven, resembling RUFFCAST. I hope they use smoother and finer bread crumbs for their fish in the future. I decided to dine in on Monday, December 4th, 2023, after 2pm. The restaurant was clean and bright, with only a few other diners present. I ordered the small SPECIAL T for £11, and opted for coffee. Bought chips and cheese from this place tonight. £4.80 which is fine but the owner seemed to be moaning about orders or staff not sure, the atmosphere was not friendly. Reading other reviews it seems like a common theme, the owners are rude and ignorant. When I sat in car looking forward to eat my chips and cheese, the cheese was at the bottom and chips at the top.... Never has this been the case. The cheese always melts on top of chips, but not here. The chips were rank. Very greasy and undercooked. 60 percent went in the bin. Overall very poor food and definitely be the last time I get anything here
Didn't think it was possible to undercook and overcook chips at the same time but this place can manage it My first time in their new shop and it's disappointing The shop looks nice but the chips are terrible
Rank. Re-Heats...served in a polystyrene container which only helped make them more rank. Soggy, miserable,greasy,tasteless (other than grease). Love a chippy....Just not this one.

This is the best fish and chip shop I have been to. The new location is nice and the food is fresh with generous portions. I highly recommend trying the kebab, cheese, and chips.
