friendly service but for cheese lovers, this restaurant is to be avoided. In the heart of the Savior country I couldn't drop the Savior fondue. It was accompanied by a salad and a very appetizing charcuterie. Unfortunately the fondue didn't look like I've always tasted in other resorts, at the eye I saw that it had been linked either to maïzena or flour. Two punches confirmed that what I had hoped to be a feast was only a scam because if the proportions of the recipe are respected, the whole binds without any problem, unless you wanted to sort on the first commodity, I didn't eat that fondue which did not seem to disturb the server.
a pleasant surprise at the turn of a walk in val d'isère, the prices are affordable and this is not a detail in view of the rates practised in restaurants in general in this corner of France! The plates are very handy and the refined dishes (bologese spaghetti and tartar steak, risotto, pepper sauce parchment). The service is perfect, smiling, pro and very fast! Almost too fast, we don't have time to finish the aperitif that the dishes come, but it's better to wait. Simultaneous table service appreciated. A good address to go without hesitation, I forgot the fabulous landscape seen from the terrace half shade half sun.
The Renaissance of the Great Bear since its redemption. And it’s always so authentic The best scrapbook of the station is served generously. The truffled crunch and poultry are also delicious dishes. It is a very good restaurant on the edge of the slopes for the noon with great value for money. In the evening, it's more chic and refined while staying casual. The group of boys puts the mood all night, it’s great. The young team, very pleasant and pro was in small care with us. Just the top.

the large bear is an institution in the centre of val, at the foot of the slopes, with a large sunny terrace and in the interior, a warm decor. a disappointment however relative to the savoyard fondue, much too thick to our taste, can be an excess of maïzena, masking the taste of cheeses and savoy wine. On the other hand, the charcuterie is good and abundant.
This restaurant is a good surprise.Menus "sunset" with a fish choice to make us forget fondus cheeses swallowed the days before. Everything is very good.Reasonable price. A very professional welcoming staff really at the top.The small fireplace fire to crown everything and this is a great evening.
