Be careful for people with allergies. My partner is allergic to eggs. We had warned the people at the restaurant more than a month in advance and made this fact clear when we arrived. When it was time for the main course, he was served a bugne and the waitress told us that it contained egg but in small quantities so it wasn't a big deal... What a disappointment! And that borders on insolence. in the context of a two star restaurant this place is slightly below average. the food isn't amazing but it's still pretty good. I don't think it's worth the trip out from Bordeaux much less any city further out. the hotel is extraordinary though so if you happen to be staying there for more than one night you'll want a reservation at this restaurant otherwise the other restaurant at the hotel offers a much more unique experience due to its setting.

Food is very good, using local produce cooked beautifully. Deserving of their accolades. However the wine list is very disappointing, mostly young Bordeaux, wines of the domain at debatable pricing, and very generic “rest of the world” selection.
