A lot of positive things have been written about this little place that we want to take with an experience from the usual dinner: During a longer hike we sat at the table before 12 a.m. and took the lunch offer: appetizer, main food and drink for 10 €. There you can not really mug, especially since the quality was largely fine (Bruschetta and mixed salad as appetizers, all beautiful crispy, at the main meal then a slightly generously salted salad with chicken breast and really good spaghetti Aglio ed Olio prepared with extra spice). It was friendly, attentive and flink. We like to come back and then try something out of the table, because what should be read, everything sounded very seductiv...
Cosy little Italian with very nice rustic ambience. I felt comfortable there right away, and I'm sure I'll go back. As a first test I tried a few noodles with saffron sauce not badly, although after my impression a little more saffron could have been used. Bread was also served on my request but not the delicious Italian, but simple baguette. Overall good value for money. Although a small malheur happened to the neighboring table (some false has been served), it was completely relaxed and easy to regulate. This is how I experienced the service in the stress scenario. The espresso was also quite fine but did not approach my reference pizzeria in Cologne.
La Grotta The restaurant is located in the heart of Hochheim right behind the Madonna in an idyllic workshop. You just have to go there. Of course, it is also best if you come in summer and sit directly on the pedestrian zone of the picturesque old town of Hochheim outdoors. The food is Italian good. So far we have always been satisfied. For Hochheim one of the most beautiful places. There are two stars of me.
