La Guinguette Du Port

Went here yesterday for Pentecost. The service was slow but just about adequate. Seeing the chef smoking IN the kitchen should have made us think twice about eating here. I ordered assiette de crudites with chips. I watched the chef making other food on the counter touching ham and pate and then other products. Today I have an upset stomach despite only eating the chips, tomato, melon and cucumber from my plate. Will not eat here again.

Good location. Having eaten at #1 3 days ago it was hard to see why this rates so much worse. We chose very simple meals of moules/frites and escalope/frites. Both were eminently good. The wine could have been colder, but that is a minor gripe.

The meal was with fresh products and a photocopier plate. The atmosphere was warm, relaxing and the manager, Isabelle, was very smiling and welcoming. In addition, the place was well heated given the time of maussade.

When I go there it is to spend time with my family, enjoying the water activities and drink a glass of beer right by the canal! I always enjoy the warm welcome, and the quietness
