La Himbert - Reserva de mesa

The welcoming red lights on the outside of the restaurant was unchanged but on the inside it was obvious that this was a completely different eatery to the one I visited a year ago. The new bistro styled restaurant was clean airy with generous spacing...between tables. The menu was simple and less dependant on seafood than before but there was still a great choice. You could not fault the quality, quantity or the service all at a reasonable price. Infact I enjoyed it so much I will go again tomorrow and tick off a few more dishes on the menu.

We arrived for a return visit to L'Himbert on the 26th February for my birthday and were bitterly disappointed to find that it had in fact CLOSED DOWN just the week before!! We did manage to find another restaurant nearby which had just opened on...the 23rd which was OK but it was not in the same class as L'Himbert. We learned from them that L'Himbert had closed, they thought, due to possibly large overheads. Who knows. I just hope that someone can take it on again as it was really special, had great ambience and served great food.

We believe that this restaurant has moved from the village of Plurien, leaving this place without food. We made a reservation, but it doesn't have to have done because only a different table was in use. The waiter had a good command of English and was... helpful. We enjoyed Casselot and Merlu. On a Monday night when many of the town and village restaurants are closed the red lights of La Himber an out of town restaurant are a welcome site. We received a warm welcome on our arrival and we were soon sitting down to excellent...meals, and the café gourmand was very special.

We were looking for a place to eat, and stopped outside this brick builded house, with red lights outside.It was placed on it own on the road. And what a stop, we had a very great and tasty meal. 3 different courses which were all very good.We would definitely come back

looking for a resturant decided to stop having seen a glut of white vans parked up decided if workers ate here must be reasonable,and how right we were had .excellent 3 course lunch with wine and very good value at 12.50 euros
