Y ya el reporte fue hecho con el BBB.——Their slogan is fresh food and as someone who frequents restaurants (especially Ecuadorian)...

Unfortunately, during our second visit, we were very disappointed. The food was nearly inedible this time. Our steaks were burnt, the encebollado lacked the same flavor as before, and the fritada was dry and tasted like leftovers—my brother-in-law had to smother his dish in curtido just to eat it. We were extremely let down! The service was equally poor. With so many waiters on the floor, I expected better. When I showed our waitress the burnt steaks, she seemed indifferent and didn’t even offer an apology. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING!
Food was not great (cold and took forever), service was awful, and to top it off, one of the napkins used to hold our utensils had writing on it ?. The server came once he noticed it was on our table and tried to remove it without us noticing. Tip was already included in the bill too so a whole loss overall going here.Never coming back here, and you shouldn’t either.
This restaurant never disappoints. I currently live in Long Island and unfortunately, there's no Ecuadorian food nearby, but I definitely think the trip is worth it. Their encebollado is by far the closest taste to what I know from home, and the caldo de bola was also great. I was a bit disappointed to find olives in it, but that's just a personal preference. I live in NJ but I do a lot of running around the 5 boroughs for work. Whenever I have a moment to stop to eat in queens this is my go to spot. Can’t stress it enough how good the food is which is only topped off by the great service I receive from my lovely waitress Luz. Love the great atmosphere l, helps me relax if for just a few moments on a long day.
I had previously enjoyed lunch here, but my second experience was disappointing. The fritada didn’t taste like an authentic Ecuadorian dish; it shouldn’t have those large pieces of pork or potatoes like that. The ceviche curtido was also a bit too salty, as was the rice. It’s unfortunate because I really liked their lunches.
Thanks God...literally.... that this little piece of tasty elegance is an escape from a neighborhood of brick and concrete not updated since the 70s. Such a delight to see the quaint casual yet elegant decor. The deeeeeelishous authentic foods are served by kind and casual wait staff. Such a great escape.Food: 5/5
We are three Canadian tourists who just had a fantastic meal at La Kuchara. It was our first time trying Ecuadorian food, and I can guarantee it won't be our last. Our waitress, Anita, was exceptional and really enhanced our dining experience! Overall, it was a wonderful experience in every way. Food: 5/5. Reserva una mesa ahora
The fried Pardo/red snapper was delicious and fresh. The sangria was delicious as well, perfect (not too strong). It was hard to get the attention of the waitress for another drink,so I just gave up.Food: 5/5
I have to say, the food was incredibly tasty and full of flavor.
